People of the Valley
Fantastic Book ! Wyn Sargent, woman explorer/anthropologist with compassion for the people she studied. Very well written and interesting. Ms. Sargent is a veru interesting person on her own. I first read the book when It originally came out and I was a young 20 y/o. It sparked my interest and through it I found my calling to return to school and receive degrees in Anthropology specializing in that fastening area of the world. I am currently working on my PhD, and have traveled extensively thoughout the area doing research. Thank you Ms. Sargent for helping me find my true calling in life.

Personality, Divination and the Tarot

Exploring the links between the tarot and psych archetypes
I saw this book in a second hand shop and subsequently devoured its contents... Cambridge professor Carl Sargent had expressed what I had felt for years - that the Tarot pre-dated Freud and Jung by at least 5 centuries in detailing the psychological 'journeys' we as humans will make in our lifetimes.

Sargent is an expert on both subjects, and draws both intuitive and scientific parallels between the older tarot and modern day psychological and personality theory. He explains the poignant theories of personality simply and easily, so the reader has no need of prior psychological knowledge.

This book is a must for those that like to focus more on the archetypal nature of the cards, in particlular in self-exploration. The extra depth this book gave to my understading of tarot was invaluable, and I have since found more recent books on the subject to continue my own exploration.

It's an Admirable Book!
The Reviewer is th author of the book NOT GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY, (which is also on Amazon.com).

Leroy Spaniol knows his stuff! Both expertise and sensitivity are always present. It's clear that the author is, in fact, a true authority regarding the topic at hand. The various dynamics involved are articulated very precisely, while at the same time I found the author's writing style refreshing! The psychological and social barriers often faced by the "challenged" individual are all well researched and documented. This book's not cheap, but genuine quality rarely is!

Authors: Dave Sargent, Pat Sargent, and Jeane Huff

This book reminds me of my cat Simone. GREAT STORY!
This book is about a kitten that is very lazy. She won't follow her mom's instructions but she has sisters and brothers that do follow their mom's instructions. She prefers to be lazy while the other kittens are exploring. She plays with mice instead of eating them and plays with Barney the dog instead of being scared. One lesson she learned was to follow her mom's instructions. But her mother and brothers and sisters also learned a lesson about friendship.

Just beautiful color and grand pictures.....
These are some of Sargent's most beautiful compositions and color galore. He was an amazing portrait artists and still, these landscapes are out of this world. His command of the painting media was genius........sheer genius. You'll love the beauty of these pictures. The more Sargent I see.......the more I have to rub my eyes to be sure anyone could be that good.

Gorgeous and Practical!
I've been carrying this book around in my purse all year, and friends are constantly admiring it. As a result, I've begun keeping a small supply of these little notebooks on hand for small rewards or gifts. They are a big hit with both children and adults, and make a wonderful, non-fussy thank-you present or remembrance. A great value!
